Description of incident

Saturday evening (7/14/24), a man responded to my Craigslist ad for my 2023 Yeti SB140 LR T3 Mountain Bike, and asked to come see it. He went by “Rob”, and texted me from the phone number show contact info . He arrived (North 26th St/ Elks Park area in Boulder) around 8:20 pm. About 5’4”, slim build, white/hispanic, appeared to be quite young ~20 years old (link to video from Ring camera below). It became immediately clear that he did not know much about mountain bikes-- he asked if the rear shock was “suspension”, seemed surprised it was a carbon bike, and even asked me to confirm it was a mountain bike. I just assumed he was a Boulder kid with money to blow on a top-end bike. He then asked to test it on the driveway, handed me a phone (as “collateral”), then immediately sprinted away on the bike. It became clear after a few minutes he had stolen the bike, had no plans to come back, and the phone he handed me was a fake/ old iphone with memory wiped. He never came back, and I've filed a police report. If you see this bike anywhere (black Yeti, size Medium), or online for sale, PLEASE reach out to me!
