Description of incident
The bike was locked up around 8:25am on 13-Jan-2025. It was locked to bike racks near Davis Senior High School between the public tennis courts and the entrance to the Community Pool. At 5pm, I went to unlock it and found my helmet and the lock that had been cut and the bike was missing. I've been able to locate the bike on Facebook Marketplace, https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1786497668813454 (no longer accessible). It was listed around 3pm on the 13-Jan-2025. It was listed for sale for $180. Looking at the pictures posted, I can clearly see unique elements that match pictures I have of the bike from this summer. I'm confident this is my bike. It was sold around noon on 14-Jan. I found that it was then posted for sale at 5:14pm on 14-Jan, https://sacramento.craigslist.org/bik/d/sacramento-2023-trek-fx-hybrid-disc/7818387564.html# for $350. Again, the pictures had the same unique elements. I'm confident this is also my bike. I contacted the seller and they told me they already sold the bike on Wednesday 15-Jan. I informed them that they sold a stolen bike. I provided this information (and much more evidence) to City of Davis Police department as well as Sac Sheriff. If you bought this bike, I'm willing to offer you a reward for returning it to me.
