2009 Marin Bikes Argenta

The 2009 Marin Argenta has been my “Equalizer.” It’s enabled this overweight AARP member with a bad back to keep up with real riders and athletes. Most road bikes are designed after competitive racing bikes. Marin's Natural Fit bikes were made with a more natural, upright position to place the rider in a comfortable, yet efficient riding position. Lightweight Hydro Edge 6061 Road tubing is mated to carbon fiber forks and seat-stays to aid in shock absorption reducing rider fatigue, allowing you to pedal faster and farther. The Argenta accelerates like you expect of a 21.02 lbs bike with Shimano 105/Ultegra 5700/6700 components, just with less discomfort after a 25/50/100 mile ride. This comes with a Brooks B17 Imperial seat in excellent condition with a hand made seat cover. Neither have been in the rain, and it shows. The tires are Continental Hardshell 700x23c (the puncture resistant flagship of racing tires) because I hate having to fix flat tires. The cassette and chain are new Ultegra 6700, and the bike has just been overhauled by Alvaro at BikeHub. Currently has Shimano PD-M540 pedals.
