Someone saw my bike hanging in the same stall over the course of a couple of weeks/months in a bike storage room at a business complex. About a week after it was stolen, a pawn shop called the cops. When the bike was brought in, they ran the serial number in the bike registry and it returned stolen. They bought it from the dude, got his ID, and then gave me the bike and had the court pay them back. Just remembered to mark it recovered just in case it's stolen again. oversatt fra engelsk

Filed a police report, made a ton of facebook posts, registered the bike here. Apparently someone who saw a post, saw someone riding my bike Friday night and called the police. the police followed the man to his house where there were multiple bikes being stored and upon checking the serial number, confirmed the bike was stolen and belonged to me. We called police immediately as soon as we knew the bike was taken then We follow the tracker to a location and monitor it for a day. When the bike stayed in a spot for several hours the police secured the stolen bike. Great job by the Calgary Police service and ATUVOS Black Item Finder. It was sold by the thieves on Facebook Marketplace and the person who purchased the bike returned it to me. There was a digital lock on the e-bike controls and the individual who purchased the stolen bike couldn't unlock it without the associated app. And only the owner of the bike can unlock it.
