Jigsaw is back in action punishing criminals through a game of deadly traps in Saw X. The movie stars Tobin Bell and Shawnee Smith after not appearing in several previous films. Saw X is the tenth installment in the Saw franchise. The events in this movie are a direct continuation of the story of the first movie, Saw (2004), just before Saw II (2005). Here is the synopsis of Saw X. John Kramer (Tobin Bell) is diagnosed with terminal brain cancer and predicted to live only a few months. This fact makes John desperate because there are still many plans that he must realize. One day, John met Henry Kessler (Michael Beach), a friend from a cancer group. Henry had revealed that he was also diagnosed with terminal cancer. However, Henry in the meeting looked fresher and healthier than John. Henry revealed that he was better after getting cancer treatment from Dr. Pederson. Hearing this, John finds out about the treatment and immediately contacts the doctor's daughter, Cecilia Pederson (Synnøve Macody Lund). Desperate John becomes desperate to accept the offer of surgery and treatment that refers him to Cecilia's clinic in Mexico, despite knowing that the treatment is different from the hospital. Once in Mexico, John is taken to the clinic of a taxi driver named Diego (Joshua Okamoto). When he arrived at the clinic, John was greeted by someone who claimed to have been healed by Cecilia. This made him even more convinced and immediately met Cecilia and her team, namely Mateo (Octavio Hinojosa), Valentina (Paulette Hernández), and Dr. Cortez. There John also met Parker Sears (Steven Brand), another patient who had just undergone surgery. Shortly thereafter, John underwent surgery as promised by Cecilia. After undergoing surgery and regaining his consciousness, John is greeted by Cecilia who informs him that he is now cancer-free. John then bought a gift for Gabriela who had helped him. But after returning to the clinic, he found that the place was nothing more than an abandoned building. Gradually, when noticing the objects left in the room, John realized he was a victim of a scam under the guise of a cancer cure operation. Feeling that the criminals on the operating table should be punished, John turns the tables on them in his trademark way: a series of sadistic Jigsaw-style booby traps. This time, John doesn't act alone. Several people are on John's side and help him get his revenge. Saw X is the latest movie in the Saw saga directed by Kevin Greutert from a screenplay written by Josh Stolberg with Peter Goldfinger. Previously, Kevin Greutert took part behind the scenes of Saw I, II and III, in terms of editing and became the director of Saw VI and Saw 3D. The film is labeled for adults for the violent scenes in it.
